(1) Because the dyeing properties of immature fibers are different from those of mature fibers, uneven distribution of immature fibers in the spinning process will cause transverse defects in the defective fabric. The lower the content of immature fibers, the same dyeing properties of cotton fibers and fewer dyeing defects.
(2) Poor rigidity and strength of immature fibers. Therefore, it will affect the production and quality of the spinning process. Under the same conditions, cotton nodules and short nap will be added, and yarn breakage will increase, leading to unstable production.
(3) Foreign countries have long taken the percentage of immature fiber content in blended cotton as an important index to control.
(4) Using cotton fiber property detector such as Ulster AFIS to test the distribution of immature fiber in raw cotton packet by packet, which can accurately and quickly detect the content of immature fiber.
(5) It is recommended that the percentage of immature fiber content between one batch of raw cotton bales and between bales should be within 2%, and the percentage of immature fiber content between batches should not exceed 0.5%.
